Privacy Policy
Effective October 17, 2026
Cashly is a personal finance app made by Rafael Escaleira (byescaleira). Your financial data belongs to you: it stays on your devices and in your own iCloud account. We do not run servers that receive it, and we never see it.
Data we collect
None. Cashly has no account sign-up, no advertising, no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs and no tracking across apps or websites.
Where your data lives
- On your device. Transactions, budgets, goals, categories, tags, profiles and settings are stored locally.
- In your iCloud. If iCloud is on, Cashly syncs that data through your private iCloud database, and backups you create are saved to your iCloud Drive. Apple stores it under your Apple Account; we cannot access it.
- Files you export. Backups and spreadsheets go only where you choose to save or share them.
Network requests the app makes
- Exchange rates. When you use another currency or the converter, Cashly asks public rate services (the open-source currency API on jsDelivr and Cloudflare Pages, and Frankfurter) for the rates of a date. The request carries only the currencies and the date, never amounts or descriptions. Like any website, these services can see your IP address.
- App settings. Cashly reads feature settings from a public iCloud database. Nothing about you is sent.
- Purchases. Subscriptions and in-app purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details.
On-device features
- Face ID and Touch ID are checked by the system. Cashly only learns whether unlocking succeeded.
- Cashly Summary and suggestions are computed on your device, including text written by Apple's on-device language model. Your data is not sent to any AI service.
- Notifications are scheduled locally on your device.
- Claude Code connection (optional). If you turn it on in Settings, Cashly opens a connection on your device or local network so Claude Code on your own computer can read data or propose transactions. Every connection and every import needs your approval in the app. It is off until you enable it.
Diagnostics
If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymous usage and crash data through App Store Connect.
Deleting your data
Use Settings › Data and Backup › Delete All Data in Cashly. It also removes the data from your iCloud. You can manage storage for Cashly in your device's iCloud settings. Deleting the app removes local data.
Children
Cashly is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone.
